The Chapel is famous for its romantic candlelight ceremonies. The beginning of the wedding aisle is marked by creamy baroque columns topped with silk floral bouquets. The pews are decorated with swags of chiffon and white silk flowers, and as the gentle strains of the Chapel’s harpist resonate throughout the expectant crowd, the candles poised above each pew bathe the bride in a warm radiance. A spacious stage in front of the altar is illuminated by a pair of candelabras laced with crystals. The Chapel provides a spiritual environment without religious restrictions, and virtually any type of ceremony or officiant is welcome.
Other Fleur de Lis traditions include the "sounding of bells" and the "rose petal grand exit." Following the ceremony, guests file out into the front garden. When the newlyweds appear in the arched entryway, the Chapel bell rings out a triumphant peal, and guests shower the newlyweds with rose petals and cheer. Behind the chapel, a cozy, tree-filled garden is an intimate setting for cocktails and receptions enjoyed in the dappled sunlight.
